Yesterday Kate turned 7 months old!  A lot has happened in the past month.  She has traveled to two states, Georgia and North Carolina, was the flower baby in my sister’s wedding, experienced the State Fair of Texas, and went trick or treating as the cutest fairy princess!

She now weighs somewhere in the vicinity of 18 lbs and is 26.25 inches tall.  Kate has been mobile for quite a while now, but we can now officially say she is crawling!  It is not real efficient yet, or quick, but she is definitely crawling. In a matter of another week or so I’m confident she will take off and there will be no stopping her!  She can sit up all by herself and has her first tooth!  She is about to have a second tooth pop through any day now.

Kate is loving eating baby food.  She has now had peas, applesauce, sweet potatoes, carrots, squash, pears, peaches, green beans and baked apples.  She likes all the food so far except the peas, applesauce and the green beans.  She tolerated the green beans, but kept giving me this awful face which was saying are you really making me eat this garbage?!   She is definitely my daughter!! ;)

Kate has expanded her vocabulary in the past couple weeks.  She was already saying “ahh”, “haa”, “heh” and “aaa”, but now she is saying “gaaa”, “da”, and “na”.  She is presently saying “da” a lot, which means she is crawling around saying “da da da da”.  It is very cute, although I’m not counting it as her first word until she knows she is actually saying a word or who “dada” is!  In the mean time, I am aggressively working on getting her to say “mama”!   :)

Here is her official 7 month picture.  Make sure to check out the “watch me grow” album!
